About us

Is Social Life for you?

Are you a single professional in your late 20's to early 40's? Are you looking to meet new people? Social Life will probably be perfect for you ... and while we welcome all new members, we ask that you also consider the following:

Social Life IS for you if.....

Social Life ISN'T for you if .....

You're willing to relax, be open-minded and fun, give everyone a chance and let friendships develop in a natural way

You're hoping to meet someone today and get married, like, tomorrow

You're spending too much time at work - you know you need to get out and meet some new people, but you're busy and ....

You're expecting formal introductions and blind dinner dates at uppity restaurants

You're turned off by the options currently on offer (we're talking sleazy late night ads, the pub scene or speed dating)

You're "on the prowl" and really only interested in (we hate to say it) getting laid!

You've accepted that love won't always tap you on the shoulders - Fate sometimes needs a hand

You're not really single or hoping it might  secretly be a swingers club! (Sorry, it's not)

Social Life is a value driven company - you should also check out our company values to see if we are compatible!

Why courses?

Firstly, courses at Social Life are intelligent, unique and fun! Secondly, they give you the opportunity to meet new people who share common interests in a natural, non-contrived way. Because after all, it's much easier to relax and feel comfortable when the focus is on poker, for example, rather than yourself.

What sort of courses do you offer?

Social Life courses appeal to your heart, mind and aspirational sides. They cover things as diverse as wine appreciation, poker school, Italy, creativity and other "essential" life topics such as philosophy. All our courses are led by talented experts and designed to encourage discussion, interaction and laughter. For information on the current courses go to our courses

Is it just courses?

No, we'll provide lots of additional free activities such as dvd nights and book clubs as well as events like walks, guest speakers, trivia nights and wine tastings. On Thursday nights we run an open house and members can drop in for a chat and have dinner.

What are the odds that I'll meet someone special?

Infinitely better than your odds working late or staying at home! That said, we're not in the business of promising fairytales. But we do promise a fun, relaxed environment filled with great, like-minded people where friendships form and opportunities can grow.

What does it cost and how do I join?

The $399 joining fee for lifetime membership of the club includes one free course and $30 towards an event plus free activities, discounts on future courses and a lower price for events. You'll find all the information you need in the join section.
